This light hearted painting was done for the upcoming Barbershop Harmony Open, which benefits youths who love acappella singing, by supporting programs introducing junior high and high school children to Barbershop.

I don’t know why this whimsical painting happened.  I started painting birds, then somehow, a clothline appeared below them, and of course, disaster!

Here is the start of a painting… rather whimsical… of a variety of birds perched on our 3 cats iron plant support.  Obviously the irony is lost on the birds!  I’ll post the finished painting later.
