Marilyn, this painting is just amazing. You really captured the beauty of this manificent animal. It is even more stunning in person. Thanks for sharing!

This was so helpful, just what I needed. I have been painting with a combination of Naples yellow and scarlet lake for several portraits, now I will try your suggestions for a change of pace. Many thanks for your time.

Hi, Jeanne. Thanks for the comment. I've had this site about 18 months, and this weekend I set up the application where viewers can register to be notified by e-mail of new blogs and/or pictures. I just opened the application and followed the directions. I've had over 3000 viewers during the past 18 months, and I think most of them are other artists... but I have no way of knowing unless they leave a comment. I've had comments from other sites, where I assume they want to be linked to my site. New people join my blog nearly every day, but I don't know whether they are following the site. My son understands this, but I don't. The positive is that I got one commission from the site, and two other requests for prices during the past year. My son said I need to post daily to keep my site closer to the first page on Google, to attract potential clients. By the way, I just posted an artist watercolor tip on painting hair... I wrote it as a handout for a class. Good luck in setting up your blog Jeanne. I'll be looking for it.

Love your blog, Marilyn. It's so fun to be able to see all your new work. Was it difficult for you to set up? My son is helping me to set up a blog too and I'm nervous about the technical aspects of it. Hope this "techno-dinosaur" will be able to figure it out!
